 Hello,
I found your webpage through youtube and I'm interested in buying a pair of binoculars for astronomy use. I don't want to use a tripod, so I'm mainly interested in something with low magnification and as high aperture as possible. In the video you said that the roof design transmits less light than the porro, so I wonder if the 8x56 Bresser Pirch that you have under your astronomy category would be good for this purpose?

Also, the only difference I found between the Bresser Pirsch 8x56 and the Bresser Pirsch ED 8x56 was that the latter is filled with argon, how big of a difference would this make for astronomy use?

Kind regards,

by Carl

The difference between these two models is the quality of the coatings, which are better than the ED model. Supposedly, ED lenses and coatings provide a better light transmission rate than conventional ones. For astronomy use, such a feature would have a significant meaning in terms of longer-lasting twilight observations.

Hello, I am very interested in ordering a pair of the Bresser Pirsch 8x56 ED binoculars from you at some point in the next few weeks, and I have some questions regarding them. First and foremost, is your statement that they will not be available for shipment for approximately two weeks. As such -- and considering the worldwide lack of availability of optical products in general, due to the covid pandemic -- would your advice be for me to withhold placing my order until you actually do have them in stock? If so... would it be possible for you to e-mail me when they are available from you for shipment? I live in California, USA. Secondly... the listed specification for the minimum IPD (Inter-Pupilary Distance) for the Pirsch 8x56 EDs is 60mm... but I read one review of them which stated that the measured IPD was actually 65mm. Would it be possible for you to physically measure the actual minimum IPD for me? My own IPD is exactly 60mm, so my concern is that the realistic IPD of the 8x56 EDs might be too large for my ability to use them. Thank you very much for any clarification you might be able to provide. I truly look forward to doing busines with you! Very Best Regards, Terry

Unfortunately, we do not order this product for stock so we would advise you to place an order and we will get it in our warehouse in approximately 2 weeks. We also can not measure the IPD since the product is not in stock. However, the manufacturer claims that the minimal IPD distance is 60mm, and the maximal is 72mm.
