Leica Trinovid 10x42 HD Product description

Description of Leica Trinovid 10x42mm HD binoculars

The Leica Trinovid 10x42mm HD binoculars, from Leica’s renowned and recently revised Trinovid HD line, are an excellent choice for plains or mountain hunting and detailed nature observation. Boasting a truly impressive list of features, they excel in many conditions and are optically and mechanically superb, especially considering their very reasonable price tag. Leica’s latest revision of the Trinovid HD series packed these binoculars with highly advanced technologies, making them outstanding, both mechanically as well as optically. The Leica Trinovid 10x42mm HD is equipped with special BaK-4 roof prisms which are coated with P40 phase correction coatings, Leica’s unique HLS™ HighLux system and fully multicoated lenses to provide for a clear and sharp image with high levels of light transmission and excellent stray light and internal reflections suppression. Exceptional field of view allows the user to efficiently scan the landscape, despite the binoculars higher magnification, which, at 10x, is perfect for observing even the smallest of details. The 42mm objective lenses also gather ample light, and aid in keeping the weight and size of the binoculars to a minimum. One of the traits of the Trinovid HD line is also its almost legendary toughness and robustness. The Leica Trinovid 10x42mm HD excels in this area as well. As only high grade materials were used, no plastic can be found on these binoculars. The chassis is made from high-strength, yet lightweight magnesium to keep the weight down and provide exceptional toughness. The chassis is additionally coated with rubber armouring for further reinforcement and improved ergonomics, making the binoculars extremely comfortable and stable in the hands. To ensure smooth, flawless operation in virtually any conditions imaginable, high quality components, such as a stainless steel hinge, are used for the internal mechanisms. Nitrogen purging prevents fogging while O-rings provide a tight seal to keep water and debris from the binoculars, making them fully submersible to a depth of 5 meters and special HDC (Highly Durable Coating) help prevent scratches. Eye cups are adjustable in four different steps and can be used to adjust eye relief, particularly for users, who wear eyewear. Any differences in a user’s eyes can be eliminated with the use of a locking dioptre. The Leica Trinovid 10x42mm HD, like all binoculars form the Trinovid HD series, features Leica’s limited lifetime warranty and also a three-year Passport Protection Plan.

Small, chic and Leica

These binoculars are so small and so nicely designed that I just had to order them. The accessories provided in the box are also something special, especially the carrying neoprene pouch. I just love them. True Leica...
