The Digex C50 is great value for money, in all 4 guises.

I chose the model with Wi-Fi and the 850iR. (Other iR lamps are compatible, but the 850 met my needs). There's a reason that they are often sold out.<br>I use this for deer management in woodland at last light (one hour before/after sunrise/sunset), so it meets my needs perfectly. There are competitors, notably the Alpex, which are reputed to have a better daytime image, but in tests the C50 wins on night mode. <br>Another great feature is the ability to save profiles for use on different rifles.

Hello, currently using Pulsar digex c50, mainly for predator night hunting. What ir illuminator would you recommend (irregardless of price), for longer range? The stock 850 illuminator is adequate, very capable out to approximately 150 yards, but looking to reach out further, 2-300 yards. Have extensive use with led illuminators, sniper hog lights, wicked lights, nightsnipe etc. But interested in smaller footprint/weight. Here, in the United States, we seem to be more led based for ir illuminators, I'm very much interested in trying laser based illuminator. I recently tested a black sun dark engine id laser illuminator with my digex c50, but wasn't overly impressed. Tended to be to be to grainy for my liking. Thanks, Patrick
