The battery compartment on the mentioned riflescope should be located on top of the eyepiece where you unscrew the cap and replace the old CR2032 battery with a new one.

The manufacturer states that the scope is suitable for use on the caliber .308 Winchester, but we can say from experience that it is somewhat more suitable for use on small-caliber rifles.
